Job Description:Hiring Event – July 18th from 6:00-9:00am at 180 Thruway Park Drive, West Henrietta, NY 14586 (entrance is across the street from FedEx)Please apply in advance and come prepared to interview. You may also potentially receive a tour of the building. Qualified applicants may also receive a same day offer and initiate the pre-employment process. Packaging Machine Operators (12 Hour Day Shift)
Packaging Machine Operators (12 Hour Night Shift)
Inbound Associate (supporting unfinished goods/silverstock) 1st shift, 3rd shift
Inventory Control (supporting unfinished goods/silverstock) 1st shift, 3rd shiftInbound Associate Job Information:
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to performing activities necessary to support the receipt, replenishment and general handling of goods and materials while maintaining inventory accuracy within the CooperVision Distribution Center.Essential Functions & Accountabilities
Performs receipt process activities of both finished goods and silver stock lenses and consumables/packaging materials.
Participates in cycle counts of finished goods, silver stock and consumables/packaging materials as necessary.
Performs activities in support of finished goods picking location replenishment to ensure product availability.
Performs activities in support of the put-away of received finished goods, silver stock lenses and consumables/packaging materials.
Organizes/Maintains picking locations to ensure proper FIFO requirements.
Performs materials handling activities to include but not limited to the delivery of various goods and materials to ensure inter-departmental request/needs are fulfilled as necessary.
Receives and delivers incoming U.S. mail as well as packages from various shippers etc. throughout the DC.
Loads/unloads trailers or containers as necessary.
Maintains and supports organization of the inbound dock area as well as storage racking area.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PC Skills
Forklift/ man-up/RF experience preferred.Experience:

  • Basic course work in mathematics, data processing and business or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics accurately on a regular basis.
  • 6 months experience (or reasonable equivalent) with physical inventories and/or cycle counting preferred.
  • 6 months experience (or reasonable equivalent) in a receiving environment.
  • Former experience with RF technology.
  • Former licensing on industrial lifts preferred.

Packaging Machine Operator Job Information:
Operates high speed and manual packaging machines in a fast paced environment to produce quality products that meet customer expectations of FDA regulated medical devices. The “finished goods” contact lenses ready for end-user consumption; finished goods produced will fulfill orders internal/external to CooperVision, domestically as well as internationally.Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Gathers silver stock and verifies material needed for campaign production orders
Loads verified silver stock into packaging machine to complete production
Performs packaging and software operations including interfacing with machine HMI’s
Interfaces with various packaging applications to include GPSII and RedZone
Understands, acknowledges and follows all Quality requirements, SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and WI’s (work instructions)
Understands and follows all company and department policies and safety guidelines
Understands equipment verbiage
Consistently uses best machine operating practices
Follows GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Follows production schedule
Works in a team environment
Performs other duties as required
Meets established standards in all areas
Demonstrated ability to mulita-task in a fast paced environment
Demonstrates strong attention to detail
Performs startup and shutdown of machinery as needed
Reports malfunctions or errors to supervising staff immediately and relays important information about the issue to the maintenance technician; validates that the machines running properly after maintenance has completed their action item
Performs routine checks on packaging machinery to ensure it is completely functional and safe to operate
Completes routine quality checks to ensure that product produced meets or exceeds corporate quality standardsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge in packaging equipment
Understands the application used in the department to include Redzone, GPSII
Basic computer skills
Basic math to include adding, subtracting, multiplication, division
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and comprehension of the English languageExperience:
Experience with basic course work in mathematics, PC and business understanding or equivalent training and/or experience required
Basic computer skills necessary for packaging software required
Ability and dexterity to handle small items
Experience with medical device manufacturing and/or packaging in a FDA compliant environment
Two years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferredInventory Control Associate Job Information:
Responsible for performing tasks that are necessary to maintaining inventory accuracy within the CooperVision Distribution Center. Close supervision required.Essential Functions & Accountabilities
Performs inventory searches by utilizing the warehouse management system and RF functionality.
Organizes/Maintains picking locations to ensure product availability and proper FIFO requirements.
Performs product restocking and put-away tasks.
Performs product retrieval for customer order shortages.
Responsible for product sorting in preparation for put-away.
Performs product location checks to ensure location accuracy.
Participates in monthly cycle counts.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PC Skills
Forklift/ man-up experience preferred.
Basic course work in mathematics, data processing and business or equivalent training and/or experience helpful. Ability to perform basic mathematics in order to perform physical inventory and cycle counting necessary. Experience in a receiving environment preferred.Job Summary Information (Applicable to all opportunities):
Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for customers.
As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays.
Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy.
Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues.
Exhibits good communication skills – verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.

Minority/Female/Disability/VeteranFor U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is $20.00/hr. and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits. 12 Hour Day Shift positions will receive a 10% shift differential. 3rd shift positions and 12 Hour Night Shift positions will receive a 15% shift differential.
