As one of our first 50 employees, you’ll have a say in defining our culture and you’ll have amazing opportunities for progression and learning.The roleWe’re looking for an Account Management Team Lead to head up our team of brilliant Account Managers.The Account Management team is at the heart of our growth. It’s one of the most impactful and instrumental roles to help us directly achieve our goals and indirectly improve our ability to support and service our customers.You’ll be inspiring a team of Account Managers that’re championing our mission to provide six star service to our diverse set of clients. And help build and scale what we’re doing today into something that’s going to work at 100x the scale.There’s huge upside potential with this team. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to be in the trenches with the team and clients, and help inform our overall growth strategy with senior leadership.We’re a hyper-growth company: if you overachieve in your role as much as we’d love you to, there will be plenty of opportunities to grow as we grow.Here’s some of the stuff you’ll be doing:
- Manage the Account Managers to reach their target of new clients introduced via their partners
- Coach and lead the team with initiatives to get our accountants to introduce more clients to Penfold
- Take a hands on role with some of our biggest clients and partners – you’ll be expected to be a player-manager!
- Planning and executing on initiatives to boost revenue / value across our existing clients
- Ensure that service across our entire client and partner portfolio meets a high standard to minimise churn (this is a minor risk for our business and our focus is maximising value by growing with our partners)
- Continue to improve processes around Account Management team to ensure operational efficiency
- Manage how we collect and use insights to inform sound day-to-day and wider strategic decision-making in Account Management team and entire Growth function
- Effectively collaborate with adjacent teams in our Growth function to ensure alignment across our strategic plans
- Help shape and inform our go-to-market and product strategies based on yours and the teams insight
- Proactively manage operational and compliance risks and obligations
About you:
- Required: you’ve managed a team of Account Managers / Customer Success Managers
- You’ve worked in a fast paced environment – start-up / scale-up experience preferred
- Your performance has been measured against a commercial target, e.g., new business won, additional products / services taken on by clients
- You’re a builder of new processes and systems – when you see that there’s no way of tracking or actioning something important to the business, you jump on it and bring something to life that addresses that issue
- You’re pragmatic and can prioritise what’s urgent & what’s important
- You challenge the status quo and don’t do just settle for the way things have always been done
- You’ve worked in B2B environments, preferably in fintech, and have relied on commercial outcomes by selling through intermediary partners
