Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable process (matching Packing Slips/Invoices, coding, invoice entry).
  • Purchase order processing, cheque preparation and printing duties.
  • Accounts Receivable processing (cash receipts posting, reconciliation of customer deductions), and collection.
  • Payroll administration for salary and hourly employees, with related duties including monthly G/L coding, ROE preparation, T4’s, etc.
  • Involvement in regular inventories to ensure accuracy within the MIS system.
  • Assist with monthly financial statistics and general ledger account reconciliation.
  • Assist with year-end audit binder preparation
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12, plus College diploma or post-secondary courses in accounting business plus computer training.
  • 5 years practical accounting experience (2 to 3 years minimum in a manufacturing environment)
  • Accounting knowledge for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general journals.
  • Hourly payroll (ADP and Advanced Tracker) and year-end processing in unionized environment. Knowledge of union dues, pension remittances.
