Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk (full-time, permanent) to support the Finance department based out of our Edmonton, AB location.The Accounting Clerk (full-time, permanent) will be a key contributor in completing reconciliations, audits, and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Key Responsibilities:

• Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
• Complete bank reconciliations for Canadian and U.S. companies
• Reconcile credit card accounts for Canadian and U.S. companies.
• Review credit card expense reports for invalid coding
• Prepare expense report upload file for ERP
• Prepare consolidated AR Aging Reports to assist monthly AR close
• Prepare weekly regional AR reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist in regulatory audits and annual audit process
• Post daily cash receipts
• Complete daily electronic bank deposits
• Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, is required
• Minimum two (2) years of related accounting experience, is required
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and computerized accounting systems, is required
• Experience working with foreign currencies is an asset
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, IF Functions)
• Knowledge of Viewpoint/ Trimble systems is an asset
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills
• Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
• Able and willing to work extended hours of work as required to meet month end and year end deadlines
