London is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and is home to some of the best museums, a thriving international restaurant scene and bustling high streets that attract people from all over the globe.What you’ll do:Key aspects of the role will include:Financial control:

• Overseeing and coordinating financial reporting processes, in particular some of the month-end close process for multiple entities
• Understanding and controlling the reporting of trading assets and liabilities
• Reviewing complex expense and profit sharing allocations between entities and business units

Financial reporting:

• Helping to manage the preparation of annual financial statements and audit-related deliverables, liaising with our external auditors as required

Project work:

• Opportunity to have an active role in various global initiatives, including technology transformations. Partnering with other global finance teams and control teams to ensure initiatives are best practice and fit for purpose

Regulatory reporting:

• Exposure to UK regulatory reporting in accordance with the Investment Firm Prudential Regime (“IFPR”) for a MIFIDPRU investment firm, and short-term responsibility for managing regulatory capital calculations
• Understanding and developing an approach to ESG reporting, including identifying and preparing public disclosures
• Collaborating with other functions and the business on the changing regulatory landscape, and analysing the impact of Optiver’s evolving business

Who you are:You will need the following skills:

• Qualified accountant – ACA/ACCA
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
• 5 years+ post-qualified experience, preferably within the financial services industry
• Experience of working in a finance team, and managing a broad range of finance activities/initiatives
• Detailed knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements
• Experience of the UK regulatory regime (IFPR), and experience of regulatory reporting preferred
• Proficient in Excel
