Accounting Specialist

Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist on a contract to hire basis for our client in the healthcare industry. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing daily transactional accounting, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end close and financial statement preparation. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily transactional accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and maintain accurate records.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and industry regulations.

• Use Excel VBA for efficient data management and analysis.

• Record and post journal entries, contributing to the maintenance of accurate financial records.

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all necessary journal entries are processed.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to manage profit and loss statements and reports.

• Utilize your university degree knowledge and skills to enhance accounting processes and procedures.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements • Possession of a University Degree in accounting, finance or a related field

• Proficiency in Excel VBA

• Experience with Balance Sheet Account management

• Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Understanding of Profit and Loss statements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of accounting.
