OverviewAre you looking for your next challenge and ready to dive into the world of finance and insurance? Join our Finance Department as a Accounts Assistant within Gallagher Bassett’s Client Funds team. In this role, you will receive full on-the-job training and have the opportunity to develop your skills through external training packages, all we need is a grounding in finance and someone who has worked with financial data. Your main responsibilities will include cash allocation, reconciliation, invoicing, and analysing claims financial data. How you’ll make an impact

  • Investigating aged unallocated cash
  • Review of existing commentary by account handlers and ensure unallocated cash is on correct accounts and coded to identify allocation issue
  • Assisting the account handlers with policies and procedures
  • Resolving transactional discrepancies between Gallagehr Bassett and external clients
  • Provide recommendations to improve management of unallocated cash through process review and root cause analysis
  • Providing feedback to account handlers on how unallocated cash was resolved via training
  • Escalation of problem client, third party and underwriter accounts to senior management
  • Assisting with production of daily and weekly reporting to senior management

About You

  • Experience of working in a finance department is essential for this position
  • Working with data, particularly the analysis and reconciliation of finacial data is essential
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable
  • Prior experience of working in insurance and financial services would be preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multi-tasking and planning.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and plan.
  • Experience of working to deadlines.
  • MS Office Proficiency.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
