Randstad is currently hiring an experienced Social Worker – Council Officer for a locum role in Adult Services based in the Shetland Islands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a unique location while receiving excellent benefits.Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake statutory duties as a Council Officer under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act.
• Assess and manage risk, safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Work closely with multi-agency teams to deliver high-quality care and intervention.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide crisis intervention support.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.

Requirements:

• SSSC registration as a Social Worker.
• PVG membership (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in Adult Services, particularly in protection and safeguarding.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to remote island working.
