Position: AI Engineer (Must be Google Cloud certified)
Location: Greater Toronto Area, Canada or remote within Canada
Job Type: Contract – 6 months with potential for long-term extensionOur client, a Premier Google Partner, is looking for an experienced and innovative AI Engineer to join their cutting-edge team. This role focuses on developing advanced AI solutions, particularly utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI, to drive meaningful business outcomes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, particularly with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, and will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and deploying AI models across various projects.Key Responsibilities:– Develop and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions using GCP Vertex AI.
– Work with LLMs and generative AI techniques to build innovative applications.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver AI-based solutions.
– Optimize machine learning models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
– Integrate AI models into production environments, ensuring robustness and security.
– Keep up-to-date with advancements in AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies.
– Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and mentor junior team members.
– Document AI models and processes for future reference.Required Qualifications:– Proven experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on LLMs and generative AI.
– Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly GCP Vertex AI.
– Google Cloud Platform Professional Certification is required.
– Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI/ML frameworks.
– Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Qualifications:– Experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
– Familiarity with other cloud platforms and AI tools.
– Experience in natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
– Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
– CloudOps/DevOps experience is a plus.
