AI Risk Specialist – Non-Financial Risk – Information & Technology Risk Management

In order to strengthen the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) initiatives within ING, Non-Financial Risk (NFR) – Information & Technology Risk (I&TR) management is looking for an Information & Technology Risk (I&TR) specialist with a strong focus on AI risk (mainly GenAI-technology).

The purpose of an NFR-I&TR AI Risk specialist is to ensure that the way we operate on a day-to-day basis, allows us to keep this promise to our clients and to remain a responsible and accountable global financial institution. Our NFR department plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and stability of our organization, with special attention to emerging risks such as (generative) AI, Quantum Computing, Blockchain and Digital Assets.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic driven IT Risk professional to join our NFR I&TR department. 

The team

As a I&TR AI Risk specialist you are one of the senior members of the NFR/Technology Risk team and you play a key role as enabler for ING’s AI adoption throughout ING.

Your roles and responsibilities

AI Risk Specialist – Non-Financial Risk – Information & Technology Risk Management your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Contribution to the development and implementation of AI risk control process & measures 

• Participating in improving risk management processes and controls framework for AI 

• Risk analyses and assessments related to (Gen)AI initiatives

• Analyzing incidents and near-misses to gain insight into potential risks and impact

• Assisting in the preparation and updating of quarterly risk reports and documentation

• Attending internal meetings and discussions regarding AI risk management

• Providing support to management for ad-hoc AI risk advices

To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, you’ll need: 

• At least 10 years of experience in the NFR domain in a global company 

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

• Certifications in AI technologies and/or CISSP is a must

• Knowledge on NFR related topics, AI knowledge and proven AI experience is a must

• Experience in information risk management, IT security and IT governance 

• Proven experiences in creating policies, standards, procedures and guidance for AI

• Proven stakeholder management also at a senior C-management level

• Excellent communication-, reporting- and influencing skills

• Fluency in business English and ideally oral proficiency in Dutch

• Cultural- and organizational sensitivity
