We are welcoming applications for the role of Alliance Investigator (Investigations) with Dorset Police based at the following location(s): Falmouth, Police Headquarters, ExeterSalary: Scale E/BAR/F – Starts at £29,109 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £38,754 per annum
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.Type of employment: PermanentType of working arrangement: Static-Worker – A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment.Hours per week: this role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.Allowances: This role attracts no allowances.About the role:This really is an exciting role for a person who likes working as part of a busy team to effectively investigate complaints and allegations of misconduct. The role involves evidence gathering, undertaking criminal and misconduct interviews and detailed report writing in order to present your findings for proportionate outcomes. You will take statements and pursue lines of enquiry including CCTV reviews, forensic examinations and interrogation of digital media. At the conclusion of any investigation will be a factual report to present the case facts and findings. There will be opportunities to highlight areas for improvement in the department and positively influence organisational practice and procedure. We are looking for a motivated, organised and confident team member who can manage their own workload but also contribute to team working and collaborative goals.The posts will be termed as a static-worker with 1 post based at Falmouth Police station and 1 based at Police Headquarters, Middlemoor Exeter.
