Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.The Capital Solutions team is part of Global Financing Solutions in Capital Markets, also comprising the Corporate Finance Solutions team and the ESG Solutions team.We are currently hiring an Analyst – Capital SolutionsThe Capital Solutions team provides FIG and Corporate HSBC clients with support on the design, structuring and execution of capital bond issuances. The team partners with DCM and LM on completing these transactions and other capital transactions. Typical projects may involve advice on appropriate financing and capital strategy, impact analysis of capital transactions including assessment of interaction issuance with ratings agency and regulatory rules, and specialist input into all aspects of issuance of capital instruments through the debt capital markets. The team’s client base is focussed on regulated Banks and Insurers and blue-chip Corporates.The Analyst will assist with all client activities including marketing, execution and on-going relationship management. The Analyst will have exposure to a wide range of teams across Global Banking and externally with our clients and rating agencies, working in a dynamic and demanding but team-focused environment.The Analyst will be expected to develop over time its understanding of key solutions and products provided by Global Financing Solutions.The role is based in London and has an EMEA remit (including emerging-markets), while also supporting clients in other jurisdictions where needed.Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pitch books and marketing materials for client meetings
• Be involved in and support the execution of capital instrument issuance for EMEA FIG and Coproate clients
• Assist in managing ongoing client relationships
• Manage internal and external processes for deal pitching and executions
• Work closely with DCM and all other origination functions including M&A, LAF and ECM teams
• Interact with rating agencies and regulators on behalf of clients for deal executions

Qualifications / Experience requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with outstanding academic credentials
• Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Excel based modelling and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in a language in addition to English preferred (French, German, Arabic)
