We are currently looking for an experienced Application Engineer to join our client covering the Andover, England or Grangemouth Scotland locations.Application Engineer

£40,000 to £50,000 + car allowance

They have robust staff development policies and offer substantial opportunities for stable long-term employment.Job Title: Applications Engineer – Maintenance & MonitoringLocation: Office based – Grangemouth, Scotland or Andover,EnglandStart Date: ASAPOverall Role Purpose:This role will see you join the dynamic Service Sales team based either in Grangemouth or Andover. The role will building remedial and small works proposals for generators and UPS’s following recommendations from service engineers.Functional competenciesIndustry & ProductKnowledge Commerciality Drive & Ambition CommunicationCore competenciesGrit Humility Conscientiousness Emotional IntelligenceMain areas of responsibility:This is primarily an office based role with site attendance required from time to time.This role involves assessing engineer service reports and building quotations for recommended remedial works. This will involve liaising with the engineers to clarify the requirements and reaching out to suppliers/sub-contractors to confirm costs.There will be the requirement to attend clients sites on request nationally to carry out detailed surveys for small works projects such as generator panel upgrades, fuel tank works, load bank connections points and other mechanical works.Once information gathered, return to office to build costs and issue proposal whilst working with and guided by the Service Sales Team.Key Skills:

Experience and qualificationsEssential:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within the industry, or similar role.

• Handling of supply chain to ensure the company brand is upheld

• Strong attention to detail

• Practical understanding of how works will be carried out

• Ability to communicate and build rapport with engineers, colleagues and clients

• Creativity & Problem Solving and finding the right solution for the client

• Strong practical electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge IT skills, fluent with Outlook, Excel, & Word.

Desirable:

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification

• Strong practical knowledge of generator installations and associated equipment

• CSCS card

• Experience with building services plant (both electrical and mechanical)

• Knowledge of BMS protocol languages such as Modbus / Profibus / BACNet etc
