This role will support and manage our customer’s portfolio of applications and systems to support a wide range of critical business processes.This role can be remote, UK based.RequirementsHere’s what the role will look like:We are looking for an applications engineer with experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios. Experience of supporting a diverse portfolio of applications, including Real-Time asset information systems (primarily OSI PI) and Bazefield.

  • Previous extensive experience as an Applications Engineer.
  • Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL, Oracle and necessary database interfaces.
  • Experience working and liaising closely with vendors and has the ability to keep them on track.
  • Analytical skills
  • Application interoperability, integration, data flows, functionality overlap
  • Real-time data / PI knowledge/understanding
  • Database knowledge
  • Automation/scripting skills: csharp, Python (desirable)
  • Reporting
  • Understanding on Allocations, system configuration and performance, Production / Lost-production figures.
  • Familiar with Agile & DevOps
  • Fast learner and delivery-focused
