Transdev is now hiring Red Seal Heavy Duty, Automotive or Commercial Transport Apprentice Mechanics for our Regina, Saskatchewan location!We are seeking permanent, full-time apprentice mechanics. Offering a competitive salary!Your role:

• Actively participate in the maintenance and repair activities of various vehicles within the transportation fleet.
• Diagnose and accurately perform all phases of vehicle and equipment service and repair under supervision of Journeyman. Repairs include brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, lifts and other repairs.
• Perform engine repairs and work on transmissions, fuel injection, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
• Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
• Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
• Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
• Contribute to building knowledge-base for repair of various fleet vehicles.
• Adhere to Transdev’s standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.

Your profile:

• You are part of an apprenticeship program: Red Seal Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport mechanic certification is preferred (3rd & 4th year Apprentices accepted).
• Must hold relevant licensing for repair/inspection in Saskatchewan, or equivalent, or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• You hold valid driver’s license required.
• You have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
• You adhere to provincial CVSE standards and the Federal Motor Vehicle Act.
• You have advanced problem-solving abilities.
• You possess advanced computer skills.
• You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• You are able to work assigned shifts.

Your location:

• This is a non-union position in Regina, SK.
• The work schedule is 40 hrs a week, 8am – 5pm.
• Shifts are Monday – Friday.
