As an Operational Care Specialist you will be part of a team responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary air logistics bookings, managing the data entry associated with transport document generation and liaising with our customer care specialists to ensure specific requirements are met (Transit Times, Carrier selection, Routings etc.). • Generate airfreight quotations to support regular and /or spot pricing enquires from the KN network both locally and globally.
• Be entrepreneurial and creative in building the best tailored solution to meet the request which will keep us ahead of the competition by utilising all solutions and resources available to us.
• Communicate regularly with internal senior branch management, carriers and airlines where applicable
• Communicate all positive or negative feedback and capture the detail for future opportunities
• Use feedback from the network to quote more effectively for future opportunities
• Work as part of the team that owns and maintains sell rate tariffs and secure the best rates for the quote construction.
• Collaborate closely with all stakeholders and Global / Regional Pricing colleagues

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D including Maths & English)
• Our company values candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planning and organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
• Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
• Please be aware that this vacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and for apprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years.
• This position requires enhanced security clearance checks and by applying for this role you are agreeing to participate in the employment screening process. This process will include criminal record checking and identify validation. Any appointment will be strictly condition upon and subject to the receipt of satisfactory results of these checks.

Key Information:
Apprenticeship Contract: Fixed term – 2 Years
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day (09:00/17:30hrs)
Place of work: Manchester Airport / Home on a hybrid basis.
Will be expected onsite full time until performance expectations met & initial training completed. If approved, opportunity to work from home 2 days a week is available.Recruitment Process:
