Job Title: ASIC Design & Application EngineerOur client in Ottawa is looking for an ASIC/FPGA Engineer to join their growing team. This is a long term engagement with a fast-growing company supporting industries across Telecom and AI.Job DescriptionAs an ASIC Design & Application Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge digital and mixed-signal designs. You will interface with teams responsible for the delivery of standards-compliant IP, including PCIe, UALink, Ethernet, and OTN. You will use TCL and Perl scripts to encrypt deliverable IP for customers and work with customers on test bench issues. You will act as a liaison between customers and design & verification teams to provide technical solutions and support.Responsibilities

• Work on cutting-edge digital and mixed-signal designs.
• Interface with teams responsible for delivering standards-compliant IP, such as PCIe, UALink, Ethernet, and OTN.
• Use TCL and Perl scripts to encrypt deliverable IP for customers.
• Work with customers on test bench and design issues.
• Liaise between customers and design & verification teams to provide technical solutions.
• Provide design and/or verification support to IP teams.
• Engage in sub-modules integration, RTL test benches, block design, and debugging.

Essential Skills

• 3-6 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA design or verification or application engineering.
• Experience running sessions with customers, such as debugging
• Understanding of TCL and Perl.
• Knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, OTN, MPLS, PCS, and Datacoms/Datacenter ASIC/FPGA.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Application engineering experience.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Design/verification background in relevant design parts.
• Experience in subsystem integration (digital + PMA), sub-modules integration, RTL direct test bench with packet generator and monitor, block design, and debugging.

Work EnvironmentThis is a Hybrid role in Ottawa ON.
