Job Title: ASIC Design EngineerRole:Actalent is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer for our client in Ottawa. You’ll be an integral part of the development team, focusing on the creation and validation of innovative digital designs. Your duties will encompass writing RTL code, fixing lint errors, achieving timing closure, and collaborating with the DV team for debugging efforts.Description

• Deliver standards-compliant IP blocks for use in OTN / Ethernet ASICs.

• Streamline ASIC development process with advancing tools/scripting.

• Micro-architect and document the design

• Develop design using Verilog

• Assist verifiers and contribute to test suite

• Issue and track bug reports from inception to closure

• Work with our external customers and/or internal engineers to verify, validate, and deliver IPs for use in OTN / Ethernet FPGAs or ASICs

Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience in ASIC or FPGA development

• Telecommunications Protocol experience with OTN or Ethernet

• Good RTL coding experience with Verilog

Nice to have’s:

• Experience with SystemVerilog

• Experience with timing closures

• Experience with Unix/Linux Shell scripting

• Experience with source code revisioning systems, SVN, CVS, RCS e.g.

• Experience with CXL or PCIE protocols.

• Proficiency with debugging tools.

• Experience with scripting and programming with languages like PERL, TCL, Python, or C/C++.
