Responsibilities

As a Assistant Call Center Manager, you’ll be a leader in a high-performance culture. You’ll put your proven leadership skills to work in developing and motivating your team to deliver top-notch service to every customer. You’ll blend industry knowledge with interpersonal skills to demonstrate how to earn customer trust with know-how and empathy. An excellent communicator, you’re prepared for heavy customer and employee engagement. In addition to supporting the growth and success of the business, you’ll lend a hand with community service projects that improves where you live and work.

You will…

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all company and departmental policies, practices, procedures, programs, and services to act as a resource for employees to answer routine and complex inquiries
  • Conduct regular team meetings to improve skills, share best practices and deliver key communications
  • Conduct side by side coaching and call monitoring to ensure compliance with company selling techniques and strategies
  • Work directly with other supervisors to ensure reliability and teamwork for the department
  • Exercise consistent independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Achieve Support Center human resource objectives by interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, and disciplining employees, communicating job expectations, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions 
  • Support the continued growth of the Illinois Region through continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a work environment that fosters a satisfied and engaged workforce that achieves target performance metrics
  • Recognize excellent performance and behaviors at every opportunity to motivate Support Center agents to achieve their performance goals

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

Preferred:

  • Call Center experience
  • Basic computer skills in various software, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

Required:

  • At least 2-4 years of supervisory/management level experience with supervising employees (preferred if in a call center environment)
  • At least 2-4 years of experience leading a team
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check is
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume role

What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

  • Must be comfortable sitting at a desk and working with a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time. 
  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
