Please indicate your internal status using the “Advertisement” drop down menu when applying.This position is in-person and is located in Edmonton, Alberta.The Mike Petryk School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty term position in the Oral Health Analytics and Informatics (OHAI) Hub. The position has an anticipated start date of January 2, 2025, with an end date of December 31, 2025, and the successful applicant may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which can be viewed at: .Responsibilities of the appointment will primarily be focused on the development of the Artificial Intelligence Hub and the creation of the hub’s curriculum. There is the possibility of one day per week of clinical and/or didactic teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. - Curriculum development for content related to the OHAI Hub
- Instruct and coordinate in OHAI Hub initiatives
- Supervise and coordinate students’ efforts in projects related to the OHAI Hub
- Coordinate grant development efforts related to the OHAI Hub
- Facilitate the adoption of intelligent techniques in dental research with faculty members and other stakeholders in the OHAI Hub.
Applicants will have:
- Graduated from an accredited DDS / DMD or equivalent program and be eligible for licensure with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta.
- Graduate training in the field of artificial intelligence in the context of dental research.
- A demonstrated record of publications and research experience in applying different machine learning algorithms to solve problems in the context of dental research.
- A record of research coordination activities in the management of OHAI events and development.
- Effective communication skills, and knowledge translation skills for teaching, mentoring, and supporting students and faculty members to adopt new research and technology paradigms.
