Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionAs a full-time Toronto FC Academy Assistant Coach, you will help create and manage the daily learning environment while overseeing the overall development of players under your supervision. The goal of the TFC Academy is to facilitate the transition of high potential players to the professional level, while ensuring the holistic development of all Academy players within the program.Administration
- Regular and timely reporting for all training sessions, games, and player development-related activities.
- Regular and timely submission of .daily, weekly, and monthly training plans and periodization schedules.
- Active participation in formal player feedback meetings with players and parents.
- Other administrative duties as required.
Player Development
- Create a safe, supportive, and competitive learning environment.
- Support the Head Coach in all aspects of program delivery.
- Perform assigned duties for all training sessions and games.
- Prepare weekly video sessions for team/individual/small groups.
- Provide weekly feedback on Hudl platform.
- Manage team and individual goal-setting throughout the year.
- Implementing the use of visual aids/technology to improve pre-game, in-game, and post-game processes.
- Provide objective data to highlight player performance for training and games.
- Follow all medical advice regarding injuries and return-to-play protocols to ensure player safety.
- Deliver and contribute to building individual development plans (IDPs).
Coach Development and Leadership
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Adherence to the Toronto FC Academy training methodology and style of play.
- Participation in internal coach assessment and coach development sessions.
- Delivery of external coach development sessions in the community as required.
- Identify and monitor players in the community in your assigned age group.
- Deliver presentations both internally and externally as required.
- Participation in special projects as required.
- Ensure the Academy Code of Conduct is followed by all players.

- Canada Soccer B License or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant coaching experience is preferred.
- Availability to travel, work evenings and weekends.
- Expertise in video analysis and editing software.
- Competency with various software tools i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- A valid driver’s license and passport.
