So, you can take on whatever tangles life throws your way.The roleAs the Assistant Management Accountant, you will support an accurate and efficient month end close, working closely with both the Management Accountant and budget holders. Mid-month, you’ll look for opportunities to streamline processes or add value to the business. This is a new role to support growth, with plenty of opportunity for personal and professional development as the business continues to grow at pace!In this role you’ll get to:

• Post accruals and prepayments in collaboration with business.
• Ensure costs are allocated to the correct GL and department.
• Manage the Actuals v Budget tracker, including providing commentary on any variances.
• Support the audit.
• Run PO training for the organisation and encourage best practice.
• Lead process improvement projects – e.g. automating the fixed asset register.
• Management of group insurance.
• Support global tax requirements.
• Other ad hoc tasks – e.g. P11D reporting, ONS surveys.

What we are looking for in you:

• Part-qualified accountant (Intermediate/Finalist – CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively independently, as part of a team, and with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Confident Excel user, with Microsoft Dynamics/NAV experience beneficial.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
