The responsibilities of this role will evolve over time as the business grows. This is a hybrid role, working both in the clinic and at home.The role will be very hands-on, with tasks including:
- Implementing Standard Operating Procedures and the Operations Manual.
- Helping to oversee our quality assurance program to ensure customer satisfaction, identify staff improvement opportunities, and maintain the highest quality service.
- Assisting with the scheduling and operations platform.
- Assisting with the hiring and training of personal support workers (PSWs) and nurses.
- Occasionally answering phone calls, emails, and web forms as the first point of contact in the sales process with prospective clients.
- Updating customer profiles in the database.
As the client base grows, the Assistant Senior Care Manager’s role will grow to include responsibilities such as:
- Supporting the Senior Care Manager in leading a team of PSWs and nurses to provide high-quality personal care in patients’ homes and Long-Term Care facilities.
- Assisting in creating personalized care plans for patients, collaborating with their families and support circles, which involves travelling to patients’ homes and conducting virtual meetings.
- Supporting staff management, including performance appraisals and disciplinary plans.
- Ensuring patient/client concerns are addressed promptly.
- Coordinating with Customer Service (CS) to ensure clients receive appropriate responses.
- Shadowing in-home staff to perform quality checks and ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Background in nursing or a related field a requirement.
- Relevant healthcare or administrative qualifications.
- Specific experience in the senior care sector is considered an asset.
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer savvy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
