The responsibilities of this role will evolve over time as the business grows. This is a hybrid role, working both in the clinic and at home.The role will be very hands-on, with tasks including:

  • Implementing Standard Operating Procedures and the Operations Manual.
  • Helping to oversee our quality assurance program to ensure customer satisfaction, identify staff improvement opportunities, and maintain the highest quality service.
  • Assisting with the scheduling and operations platform.
  • Assisting with the hiring and training of personal support workers (PSWs) and nurses.
  • Occasionally answering phone calls, emails, and web forms as the first point of contact in the sales process with prospective clients.
  • Updating customer profiles in the database.

As the client base grows, the Assistant Senior Care Manager’s role will grow to include responsibilities such as:

  • Supporting the Senior Care Manager in leading a team of PSWs and nurses to provide high-quality personal care in patients’ homes and Long-Term Care facilities.
  • Assisting in creating personalized care plans for patients, collaborating with their families and support circles, which involves travelling to patients’ homes and conducting virtual meetings.
  • Supporting staff management, including performance appraisals and disciplinary plans.
  • Ensuring patient/client concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Coordinating with Customer Service (CS) to ensure clients receive appropriate responses.
  • Shadowing in-home staff to perform quality checks and ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications:

  • Background in nursing or a related field a requirement.
  • Relevant healthcare or administrative qualifications.
  • Specific experience in the senior care sector is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer savvy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
