If you are looking for a fantastic opportunity and want to extend your experience in operational management in acute services, then look no further.Unscheduled Care services include: Emergency Department & Minor Injuries service, Medical Assessment Unit, Ward 5, 4, DME Ward 14, BSU & MKU, COVID Ward, Winter Ward with specialist services in: Respiratory, Cardiology, Gastrointestinal/Endoscopy, Diabetes/Endocrinology, Stroke, Neurology, Palliative Care, Borders Urgent Care service, Medical Ambulatory Care and Acute Assessment unit, Hospital at Night, Advanced Nurse Practitioner team, Sight and capacity Team and Laboratory.I am looking for a dynamic, motivated ASM with experience in working with operational teams in acute and ideally Primary and Community services, project management/support skills, Quality Improvement experience and the ability to work autonomously with clear direction from the wider UC senior management and hospital managers and working alongside the ASMs across planned and UC.If you would like an informal discussion please get in contact with Diane Keddie, Deputy Hospital Manager Acute /Unscheduled care, email diane.keddie@borders.scot.nhs.uk or telephone 01896 827020.Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.**PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early***.NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
