Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.JLL is recruiting for a fire engineer to join the Fire & Building Safety team at an exciting point in its development and implementation.As a fire engineer at JLL, you will work with an immediate team of surveyors and engineers delivering advisory and project related services throughout the property lifecycle. You will be advising a variety of clients across all sectors in the UK and you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams involved in building safety, transactions and the implementation of remediation works. The role will also involve working with the Building Safety Regulator on new and existing projects, supporting the collation of information to the Gateway requirements and traditional information required to progress through the RIBA stages of work.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking surveys to identify holistic issues with fire safety.Production of fire strategy reports and advice.Inspection, identification and recommendation for fire safety remedial works to existing buildings.Reviewing technical or statutory issues with buildings including external walls and internal compartmentation.Peer review of reports and recommendations.Management of or assistance with fire engineering projects and solutions working closely with JLL internal teams.Identify issues and leading/ assisting design teams with technical solutions.Site inspections for compliance and quality monitoring.Support applications through the BSR gateways.Support the development and production of building safety cases.Support the growth of the Fire & Building Safety team.Opportunity for future line management of junior staff.Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant and suitable Engineering degree, Bachelor or Masters.
  • Suitable professional body accreditation with IFE, ideally Chartered or Incorporated.
  • Demonstrable professional experience of delivering fire engineering including advisory and project related roles.
  • Experience in computational modelling and structural fire engineering is beneficial.
  • Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
  • Must be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Must have strong verbal and numerical skills, and be comfortable with report writing.
  • Requires excellent time management and general organisational skills.
  • Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be well presented and have excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Clean driving licence
