This pivotal role involves managing international indirect tax compliance, staying abreast of legislative changes, and ensuring the accuracy of our tax positions. If you passionate about international tax compliance with a growth mindset and appetite to learn then this is the role for you.In this role you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance and navigating the complexities and ever-changing international tax legislation. You’ll be the go-to contact for tax systems, supporting the International Tax Manager, and collaborating with the IT department to manage changes. Additionally, you’ll provide essential analysis and accounting support for international tax accounts, including timely year-end provisions and quarterly tax account reconciliations.This role is eligible for remote and/or hybrid working across the UK, with a base in vibrant London and will report into the Senior Manager, Global Tax.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:International Tax Compliance:Support the international tax compliance for CFA Institute and affiliates, ensuring all filings are accurate, timely, and cost-effective.Handle international indirect tax filings including VAT, business taxes, and GST.Maintain and enhance the consolidated tax tracker for all entities.Develop and support processes to ensure complete international tax compliance.Monitor changes in international tax legislation and evaluate their impact on our tax positions.Reconcile and accurately compute international tax-related accounts on financial statements.International Tax Technology:Analyze data from the Tax Engine and Accounting System to ensure correct tax calculations and report generation.Perform routine analyses on Tax Engine content, configurations, and security access.Collaborate with Finance and IT teams on tax system and technology requirements.Assist in tax system implementation and support process improvements and automation initiatives.What We’re Looking For:In house International tax experience or hands on secondment and/or client experience if coming from Private PracticeExperience beyond UK tax jurisdiction is preferred. Knowledge of tax regulations across Europe is a plus, but not essential.Experience with UK and European jurisdictions, Singapore would be advantageous.Preferred tax qualification (CTA, AIIT, ATT or similar) or qualified by tax experience.Experience with VAT, GST, or similar indirect taxes.Proficiency with sales tax systems. (SOVOS and / or NetSuite preferred)Strong excel skills eg.
