Delaware North is hiring an Association Sales Manager to join our team in Sacramento, CA. The Association Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing key relationships with group leaders, group lodging contacts, tourism offices, and third-party agencies, that will create visitor traffic and drive revenue to Delaware North’s beautiful Tenaya Lodge location.This position can be remote and will require some travel to our locations and the association meetings as required.At Delaware North, we care about our team members’ personal and professional journeys. - Foster relationships with meeting planners, corporate contacts, as well as contact within the local social markets in order to meet or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. This includes prospecting, contracting, booking and confirming wedding & social events with both prospective and current customers.
- Prepare reports outlining catering contracts, labor needs and requirements specific to event, and required service standards.
- Creates cost estimates for booked clients and proposals for prospective clients. Includes meeting with prospective clients, touring of facility, reviewing menus with clients.
- Generate, track and submit sales agreements, handle any customer service issues that might arise during group functions
- Working with Sales team, Revenue Management and Marketing teams, create, plan, and coordinate programs to attract guests and achieve the annual plan.
- Work with all departments on the delivering of the best guest experience.
- Participate in local area networking with hotel and referring partners
- Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, marketing or sales related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tourism or hospitality sales related field
- Must have a track record of being a high impact sales manager able to effect change and generate real results in a complex organizational environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and deliver deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to problem-solve and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Available for business travel which may include evenings and weekends
