If so, ATB might be right for you.Please see below to learn more about this great summer opportunity.As part of the National Advisory team, the ATB 101 – National Advisory Services Student will have the opportunity to participate in the research, review and implementation of various projects that provide strategic value to ATB Wealth. This role will work collaboratively with leadership to identify Wealth management focused project(s) that challenge and engage the student to enhance existing and develop new skills. In addition to the challenges associated with completing a project from end-to-end, the successful candidate will gain exposure to the inner workings of a Wealth management firm and gain a deeper understanding of the different roles, skills, and knowledge that are required to service and provide an exceptional experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess an inquisitive & growth mindset, a business aptitude with a client obsessed philosophy and is able to thrive in both an in-person and virtual work environment.AccountabilitiesWorking in collaboration with the Strategic Initiatives and/or teams, position accountabilities include:Project ManagementTaking a lead role on dedicated projects that will be completed from inception to roll outSetting project goals, designing and implementing a path to completionConducting research, analyzing findings, making recommendations and upon approval implementing the solutionEstablishing best practices and informational resources that may be accessed by impacted team membersProactively engaging leadership and project stakeholders with updates on progressIdentifying obstacles or barriers to progress, taking initiative to resolve them with supportDetermining communication practices and how to capitalize on the unique expertise of team membersCross Functional LearningParticipate in cross-functional areas of the Wealth Management business to learn about what they do and how they add value to the businessShadow and engage with client support activities within the National Advisory Services Initiatives and teamsGain exposure to various roles, responsibilities and workflows to understand how each area contributes to the overall business goalsActively participate in team meetings, projects and initiatives to gain hands-on experience and insights into different aspects of the businessDevelop a comprehensive understanding of how different teams collaborate and interact to deliver value to clientsIdentify opportunities to leverage knowledge and skills from different areas to enhance processes and improve client experienceSkills, experience & requirementsWhat we expect from you:Enrolment in a post-secondary institution in pursuit of a business or financial focused degreeStrong organizational and detail-orientation skillsExperience with analyzing and interpreting data into insightsHigh level of proficiency with computer applications, especially Google suite of toolsAccomplishes tasks with some direction and/or using operating guidelines independentlyFollows instructions and defined processes for situations with some complexity and escalates more complex tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to develop strong relationships with partnersAbility to work in a virtual environment independently and in collaboration with team membersEagerness to roll up your sleeves, take on and seek out new challengesDon’t meet all the requirements on the list?
