Please see below to learn more about this great summer opportunity.As ATB’s next Strategy & Research Student with People Places & Spaces (PP&S), you will report directly to the Director of Strategy. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development and analysis of long-term portfolio-based strategies. You will act as a market intelligence resource, monitoring industry trends, conducting benchmarking, and analyzing internal and external environments to identify opportunities and inform best practices. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the day-to-day operations of our real estate & leasing team.PP&S is ATB’s real estate and facilities business unit and leads: real estate strategy, workplace optimization & experience, spatial design, construction, project management, leasing & subleasing management, facilities management & maintenance, asset management, facilities operations, occupational health & safety, and physical security. PP&S oversees ATB’s 1.5 million square feet of space and the team is deeply connected to transforming banking through ATB’s client facing locations, and leading the way with corporate workplace transformation, both of which bring ATB’s mandate to life and make it possible for Albertans.Accountabilities

  • Support the development and analysis of long-term portfolio-based strategies.
  • Act as a market intelligence resource, monitoring industry trends, conducting benchmarking, and analyzing internal and external environments to identify opportunities and inform best practices.
  • Track and assess performance metrics, actively participating in the establishment and refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of long-term portfolio-based strategies.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the real estate & leasing team.
  • Provide day-to-day support that may include the drafting of presentation materials, ensuring clarity and alignment with overarching portfolio-based strategies.

Skills, experience & requirementsRequirements for ATB 101:

  • Enrollment in or pursuing studies in business, real estate, engineering, architecture, or law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management and priority management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical skills, including G-Suite, and experience learning and adapting to new technologies and software.
