DESCRIPTIONIf you have at least 5 years of audit and compliance experience with Canadian indirect taxes, including provincial sales taxes; love to dive deep into data; insist on the highest standards; and are excited by the challenge, opportunity and complexity Amazon presents, we’ve got the role for you!The Canada Indirect Tax team is seeking an Indirect Tax Audit Manager to support all of Amazon’s Canadian indirect tax audits, requests for information, and platform information reporting. This position requires frequent collaboration and communication with a variety of stakeholders. The successful candidate will interact closely with multiple internal teams as well as Canadian tax authorities. As such, this role requires someone who can confidently and accurately discuss data processes, findings, and outcomes with diverse audiences. While you will work most closely with the Canada Indirect Tax Audit lead, you will report directly to the Head of Canada Indirect Tax.Key job responsibilities

In addition to providing high quality tax technical audit support, our team helps our partners see around corners, thinking through long-term implications of decisions, and the tax user experience. We also help our partner teams move quickly by outlining various options and practical solutions for moving forward. Most importantly, we build lasting relationships with our partners, gain a deep understanding of their businesses, systems, and flows, and have a lot of fun while doing it!BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
– Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
– 5+ years of experience in retrieving, analyzing, validating, and preparing audit data and documentation for Canadian Indirect TaxesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience with:
– Canadian marketplace facilitator rules;
– Canadian Digital Reporting / OECD Platform Reporting Model Rules / DAC7;
– Preparing and filing platform information reporting returns in BC and Quebec; and
