Job DescriptionJob ID#:4487Job Category:Information TechnologyWe are seeking a talented and experienced Audio-Visual Support Engineer to join our client’s team. Based near Saratoga Springs, NY or Boston, MA, this hybrid role combines on-site, customer-facing interactions with desk-based support to develop and deliver innovative AV system solutions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales success by providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales process and collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to design customized AV solutions.Responsibilities of the Audio-Visual Support Engineer will include:

• Partner with the sales team to deliver technical support during pre-sales activities.
• Conduct comprehensive client needs assessments through site surveys and discovery meetings to identify requirements and constraints.
• Design and engineer customized AV solutions aligned with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop detailed design documents, including schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Populate quoting tools and collaborate with the operations team on budgeting and labor estimates.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients to showcase proposed solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotes, and bids for AV projects.
• Provide technical expertise during client meetings and negotiations.
• Work with project managers and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery and implementation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the AV field.
• Participate in industry events, training programs, and certification opportunities to enhance professional skills.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Audio-Visual Support Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in the AV industry, with a strong focus on pre-sales engineering and solution design.
• AVIXA certifications (CTS/CTS-I/CTS-D) and CQT are highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of AV technologies.
• Video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex).
• Digital signage, audio systems, control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron), and networking. Certifications are a plus.
• Experience with AV industry software, such as CAD, Visio, and project management tools, as well as audio tuning, equalization, and DSP programming. Direct programming experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong networking skills, with relevant certifications or completed training courses preferred.
• Highly organized, proactive, and equipped with excellent communication skills.
