I’m looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Newcastle (hybrid-working), who truly recognise the value of leveraging their data to better understand their customers and to drive business growth.In this role you’ll lead a team of Data Engineers in the ongoing development of their cutting-edge Azure Data Platform – working across the end-to-end data lifecycle from architecting data ingestion solutions into their Data Lake, designing robust ETL solutions to integrate various data sources, designing data models for analytics capabilities, through to deploying Logic Apps and Function apps for process automation.We’re looking for a track-record of leading and managing successful teams, and an ability to champion best-practice and advocate for process improvement wherever possible. You’ll be technically hands-on, but will also liaise with stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit-for purpose and prioritise work.This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Data Engineering professional to join an organisation who are truly investing in their data – with a real appetite to leverage the latest ML and AI capabilities, there couldn’t be better time to join the team.Requirements

• Prior experience leading and managing Data Engineering teams
• Strong SQL and data modelling experience
• Experience designing ETL processes
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing principles
• Experience with some Azure technologies such as: Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps
• Excellent communication and requirements gathering skills
