Yubo have recently reorganized its Tech department and a new BackEnd Delivery Team emerged. This team will focus on the development of new features, innovation in terms of safety and the support of our product team.To succeed in this change we are looking for a new manager for the team, who will be responsible for the continuation of our expertise and who will foster a culture of collaboration.Our approach to privacy * As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users.

• As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children’s online safety, privacy and well-being.
• Every employee at Yubo is expected to participate in compliance with data protection regulations as well as the continuous improvement of our Privacy & Safety By Design measures.

Your responsibilities * As one of our technical managers, you will oversee and ensure timely delivery of backend features and safety needs to meet business goals.

• As the manager of the Delivery Team, you will lead the hiring and onboarding of new profiles to support team expansion and capability enhancement.
• While managing the team and ensuring its success, you will implement and monitor metrics such as velocity, delivery time, and feature quality to drive continuous improvement.
• You will foster a culture of collaboration and alignment with stakeholders, including the BackEnd Core Team, Product Team, Safety Team and other tech departments.
• You will oversee and prioritize tooling initiatives that streamline internal processes and improve the overall efficiency of company internal teams.

Tools we use * Languages: Node, React, TypeScrip

• Data: Couchbase, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Mongo DB
• Message broker: Redis, kafka, Nats

Who you are * You have at least 8 years of experience with a minimum of 2 years as a manager

• You are used to delivering backend features in a SaaS or tech-driven organization
• You have a good level of expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, TypeScript, PostgreSQL
• You have knowledge in system/infrastructure and broker (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS…)
• You are experienced in working in remote environments

Within a month, you will * Meet your team and learn to know them !

• Have built relationships with your main stakeholders, familiarize with the roadmap and understood key business goals
• Discover our technical infrastructure and develop a deep understanding of our product
• Start working on the development of product and safety features

Within 3 months, you will * Understand current team dynamics and establish efficient processes for delivery

• Establish the collaboration of your team with other IT departments
• Start working on your staffing plan and set in motion new recruitments

Within 6 months, you will * Successfully onboard and integrate at least two new hires into the team

• Define and track KPIs for productivity, delivery time, and team satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong alignment with the BackEnd Core Team and Product stakeholders
