Managing the timely submission of Bids (tenders of all types) and Proposals in accordance with the Nuix Bid Management process, corporate positioning, customer requirements and risk management processes.

Nuix Bid and Proposal Management are the keystone team for engaging with our customers in formal tender responses and formal and informal proposals via our salespeople. 

We work hard, managing people from across all areas of the Nuix business and across global regions and time zones, when necessary, to deliver to our current and potential customers best-in-class content that is visually engaging, written compellingly from the customer’s needs and delivers recognisable value.

As a member of this team you will work within the Nuix Bid and Proposal Management team guidelines and processes across all areas of Nuix to deliver compelling tender responses and proposal documents for Nuix’s potential and current customers. 

Nuix is hiring a Bid and Proposal Manager, EMEA. This position will be based in our London. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 2 days per week, but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the London office for the remaining 3 days of the week. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with Nuix Bid and Proposal Management team and with UK, EMEA regional Sales Managers, Solutions Consulting, CISO, Legal and internal customers.
  • Work in accordance with Nuix Bid and Proposal Management processes in Bid Qualification, Initiation and Approvals including (but not limited to):
  • Initial screening and Engagement
  • Bid/ No Bid decisions and Approvals
  • Establish and manage timelines and standards for each bid and proposal response.
  • Utilise templates owned by the Nuix Bid Management team using appropriate version control and company formatting standards.
  • Assign, coordinate and collate responses from internal bid team contributors within agreed timeframes and, when necessary, to suggest and negotiate appropriate alternative solutions.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder communication, including advising Sales Management and staff, Solutions Consultants and others on bid requirements, timelines and approvals decisions required and executed.
  • Ensure all Nuix Bid and Proposal submissions are accurate, consistently delivered in accordance with defined standards and result in a well-presented offering to our customers.
  • Apply ongoing process improvement activities to ensure continued excellence in service delivery.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Prior experience (preferably in comparable IT companies) as Bid Manager, Proposals Manager, Capture Manager or equivalent of the end-to-end management of tender and proposal response processes.
  • Experience in fluid, dynamic working environments, building relationships and managing temporary teams on multiple time-critical deadlines.
  • Strong, positive interpersonal communication skills via face-to-face, voice and email
  • Ability to work positively under direction on sometimes tight, inflexible timelines.
  • Hands-on content management and completion of tender and proposal documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong Microsoft Word editing and formatting skills and experience, including working with complex styles and templates.
  • Good skills in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Publisher or equivalent
  • Excellent content writing and editing skills, especially on compelling Executive Summaries, Win Themes, etc.
  • Quality focused and driven, both of content and presentation.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adopt new processes and practices.
  • Prior experience with Bid and Proposal Management software, specifically Responsive (RFPIO) or similar.
  • Prior knowledge of SharePoint, OneDrive, Salesforce, Adobe Photoshop is useful but not required.
  • Excellent (i.e. ‘native’) English language capability is essential; multi-lingual capability (especially German) is an advantage.
