Our bid management team maximises the opportunities for growth by managing thedevelopment of bids, working in collaboration with our client-facing teams to focus on what’s needed to win, ensuring that the internal bid management processes are continually improved and that we apply the lessons learnt from our post-bid reviews.

The team also monitors our presence on public sector frameworks to triage new opportunities and ensure that our presence on the right frameworks is maintained.

The team also ensures that bid teams from across our organisation are educated in our bid processes and our approach to winning business.

As a result of our continued growth we are looking for an experienced bid manager to join our team.

Job Description

Due to the nature of the client engagements, every employee needs to be able to achieve Security Clearance. This means that you need to have the right to take up employment within the UK, do not have or require any visa to work, and have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years without any gap(s) totalling more than 6 months. Higher clearance/s may be required.

You should be able to easily commute to our London office.

For some roles/projects, travel to the clients offices will be required and the frequency is often determined by the client.

Key responsibilities of the role are summarised below:

This is an internal role to lead cross functional bids teams in order to deliver high quality bids and proposals on time and on budget. The role is critical in driving the growth and success of our organisation, providing experienced bid management to support our client facing teams.

  • You will work closely with senior internal stakeholders, representing the bid you are responsible for,providing guidance and challenge to improve the probability of winning
  • You will be responsible for a variety of bids of different scales dependent on the market demand. You will steer the activity and provide guidance on aspects such as win themes, storyboards, win pricing, question analysis, and traceability between questions and answers
  • You will be responsible for managing bids through our internal review and approvals process in collaboration with the client facing deal owner and for agreeing, scheduling and completing rework, driving efficiency in the bid outcomes and increasing the probability of winning
  • You will ideally have experience of working with partner companies in bids that involve an ecosystem of suppliers, as a prime or as a subcontractor, and have experience of managing bids from publication to award including internal triage and opportunity qualification, PQQ/RFI response, ITT/RFP response,presentations and supporting subsequent negotiations

While the role is not one with line management responsibilities, it will require you to work collaboratively in a matrix management structure and use your influencing skills to achieve the required outcomes.


The successful candidate will have:

  • A good understanding of bid management processes, ideally with experience in managing bids from triage to award gained through government and/or private sector engagements
  • Experience of running an effective bid qualification process in order to drive focus on the highest win probability bids
  • Financial awareness with the ability to support the analysis of bids from monetary perspective to rapidly qualify them for progression.
  • Demonstrable understanding of business operations, including business processes, workflows, and systems. Being able to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Experience in bid management, including scoping, planning, budgeting, resource allocation and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously to ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the deal owner’s satisfaction

  • build relationships with colleagues and to manage the bid team. Demonstrating the ability to work as true partners to the client facing and consulting teams

You will have very good attention to detail, coupled to the ability to develop and embed process and efficiency.

Previous experience within security-controlled environments is desirable.
