OverviewJoin our dynamic and successful Sales Enablement Team at Gallagher Benefit Services (GBS). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing, award-winning, and internationally recognized team. You will play a crucial role in driving and winning new business opportunities, supporting organizational growth, and handling the governance and bid management of end-to-end opportunities. Your responsibilities will include crafting persuasive and engaging proposal content for our magazine-style RFPs and pitches. Collaborate closely with the Bid Team, Sales Leads, Producers, and Design Team to ensure best practices and innovation are brought together, driving an effective win strategy and running the end-to-end pursuit management process.
How you’ll make an impact

• End-to-End RFP Governance: Be responsible for the entire proposal process, including pre-proposal planning, qualification calls, kick-off meetings, checkpoints, peer reviews, final submission, and post-submission debriefs.
• Win Strategy Development: Collaborate with Sales Leads and Lead Consultants to strategize key win themes and differentiators, building a strategy to secure client opportunities.
• Opportunity Qualification: Use our robust process to ensure Gallagher bids only on opportunities worth the investment and that we can win.
• Response Drafting: Write and edit RFPs, ITTs, PQQs, and proposals, collaborating closely with technical experts for input and working with the Content Manager to update the Gallagher content library.
• Executive Summaries: Craft persuasive and engaging executive summaries using storytelling techniques to position Gallagher as the preferred provider.
• Procurement Governance: Apply writing techniques to improve scoring based on procurement criteria.
• Opportunity Pursuit: Support Sales Leads and GBS UK service line teams with pre-RFP collateral and proactive proposals.
• Bid Design Collaboration: Work with designers to decide on the format and design of responses, ensuring content is displayed optimally.
• Pitch Delivery and Coaching: Collaborate with the pitch team and design to build supporting materials, ensuring quality standards are met, and provide mentor on delivery and scriptwriting.
• Opportunity Debriefs: Conduct post-RFP and pitch evaluations to capture feedback and perform trend analysis.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to team ideation for innovative client responses and identify inefficiencies in the bid process, developing plans to address them.

About You

• Excellent command of the English language and attention to detail.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management experience.
• Demonstrable creative writing experience is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of bidding experience, not necessarily all in a Bid Manager role.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote and hybrid working environment, with in-person meetings at least quarterly.
• Passion for contributing to a team that values creativity, innovation, and high-impact proposals.
