Bilingual Head Start Specialist

Are you bilingual in Spanish and English with at least 2 years of experience working in early childhood education? If so, this Head Start Specialist role at a Seattle-based organization could be a great fit for you!

This non-profit is committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by homelessness.  They provide essential resources, while working to improve access to high quality early learning for families facing hardship. In this role you would be supporting a caseload of around 20 families, helping them access comprehensive services and liaising between programs and families.

The temporary role is anticipated to last until mid-November and is a hybrid position, requiring at least 3 days per week in both the Renton and Kent offices.

Head Start Specialist Responsibilities:

• Provide referral support to families and assist them in accessing services
• Manage a caseload of 20 families, facilitating communication between programs and families
• Perform data entry and handle additional duties as assigned?

Your experience in early childhood learning, communication skills and passion for activism will go a long way in setting you up for success in this Head Start Specialist role.

Schedule:
 Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Head Start Specialist Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience working in early childhood learning or development
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Familiarity with King County community resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education, social work, or psychology, or a related field

Pay: $25-$29/hr
