WHAT WE OFFER

ABOUT THE ROLESOCAN is home to over 185,000 songwriters, composers, and music publisher members. In this role, you will be responsible for processing new applications and act as a first point of contact for people looking to join SOCAN. You will provide excellent and detailed administrative support to our applicants, members, and the general public. The Member Services department is a fast-paced environment, and you will be required to perform various administrative tasks in addition to the processing of applications.WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, verify and process new member applications
  • Inbound and Outbound contact with applicants for clarification and additional information as required
  • Administrative functions including data entry, scanning and documentation of member agreements, mail distribution, processing direct deposit updates, publishing agreements.
  • Adhere to quality control and performance standards according to department metrics and SLA’s
  • Providing detailed information to general public and applicants on SOCAN’s mandate and application requirements
  • Assisting with new member online access and login credentials
  • Maintaining and providing application statistics to direct report
  • Other duties as required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years administrative and data entry experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with MS Office suite applications

Experience working with CRM databases

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French are required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
  • Strong listening skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changes in structure and policy and procedures
  • Detail-oriented
