Aero Rental Services, a division of Western Energy Services Corp., is hiring a BOP Service Technician to join our growing team in our Grande Prairie location!Western Energy Services Corp. is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.Position SummaryThe position of BOP Service Technician is responsible for shop and field servicing & maintenance of blowout preventers and related equipment.
- Complete field rig ups and tear downs of BOP’s
- Complete post-job equipment servicing work orders and submit to billing clerk in a timely fashion
- BOP servicing, troubleshooting and repairs
- Assist management in day-to-day operations in all aspects for Aero requirements, including other items not mentioned above
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Previous BOP service and repair experience an asset
- Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
- Valid Driver’s License
- Fork Lift Training considered an asset
- Over Crane Certified considered an asset
