  • The UK Customer Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing and is accountable for the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse; and Discounters.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Full ownership and accountability of Home Bargains Biscuits & Snacks plus Poundland Biscuits
  • Full P&L management including forecasting and delivery of monthly sales/profit targets
  • Management of one direct report with responsibility of Heron account plus Cake portfolio for Bargain stores
  • Focus on your direct reports targets and development
  • Build winning relationships with all Buyers and being able to handle combative conversations and turning them back to collaborative
  • Build a short and long term strategy to win in Home Bargains and Poundland, onboarding internal functions to ensure execution of winning growth and share plans for pladis
  • Execute the plan using negotiation skills, creativity and energy
  • Set high standards for internal reporting and performance reviews
  • Conduct store visits, reporting on pladis, competitor and adjacent categories to build winning plans

  • Proven experience in managing Bargains customers and handling tough conversations
  • Drive and creativity to challenge the status quo internally and externally
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goal
  • Problem solving and solution orientated
  • Eye for detail to hold the customers to account vs internal forecasting
  • Negotiation training & experience
  • Creative flare to turn challenges into opportunities
  • Branded experience (as opposed to Retailer Brand).
