The Role

The Business Analyst is a critical role responsible for driving the success of our company-wide transformation initiative by providing essential analytical and strategic support. The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data, identify business requirements, and assist in the development and implementation of transformation strategies. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that the transformation program achieves its objectives and delivers lasting value to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Gathering and Analysis:

· Collect and analyse relevant data and information to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.

· Develop insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.

· Statistcal Analysis and data led decision-making.

Business Requirements Gathering:

· Plan, facilitate, and follow-up on collaboration sessions both in-person and on-line.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and document detailed business requirements.

· Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology and process improvements.

Process Mapping and Improvement:

· Document existing processes and workflows within the organization.

· Identify areas for process improvement and work with teams to implement streamlined and efficient processes.

· Define and enable requirements capture.

Solution Evaluation:

· Assess potential solutions and technologies that align with transformation program goals.

· Assist in evaluating and selecting the most suitable solutions or vendors.

· Understand the metrics and stats that will inform the business case outcomes.

Change Impact Analysis:

· Analyze the impact of proposed changes on various business functions and departments.

· Develop change impact assessments and recommendations for mitigating disruptions.

Stakeholder Communication:

· Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and requirements.

· Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and changes.

Testing and Validation:

· Support the testing and validation of new systems, processes, and solutions.

· Ensure that deliverables meet specified requirements and quality standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, and project-related information.

· Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress.

Risk Assessment:

· Identify and assess potential risks and issues related to project implementation.

· Contribute to risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, IT professionals, and business stakeholders.

· Provide support and expertise to ensure the successful execution of the transformation program.

Candidate Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in transformation or change management projects.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Proficiency in data analysis tools and software. – Power BI, Business Process Mapping Software,

· Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.

· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.

· SIX Sigma – and recognised Business Analysis certification – BA Bok Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
