HybridPurpose of Role:As part of our journey to a rationalised application ecosystem we are hiring an Application Team Leader to lead the simplification journey and reduce the “long tail” of applications used by small pockets within Weir. Standardising the application estate will improve business process efficiency, provide scale benefits and generally increase agility in the face of change.You will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and working with the team to implement changes. Your role extends beyond technical aspects; you will also bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring alignment with Weirs Target Enterprise ArchitectureWhy choose Weir:

  • Analysing how the business are using to identify target applications for removal and documenting the supporting business processes including the impact of application changes.
  • Identifying duplicate functionality and opportunities for consolidation and rationalisation to reduce the overall number of applications and evaluating each target application’s usage patterns, associated costs, and overall value to the business.

This inventory helps identify redundancies and understand the landscape. * Ensuring the execution of the identified changes and associated plan, tracking progress and adjusting as needed while working closely with IT teams, business units, and Enterprise Architecture to achieve the desired outcomes.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with application rationalization, including implementing and managing application rationalization initiatives in a global context, ideally with strong ERP experience, ideally in manufacturing / supply chain
  • Extensive experience in influencing and driving change at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
