Our growing client in the Ballston Spa, NY area is seeking a Director of Business Analysis to lead efforts in cost optimization, financial performance, and cross-functional collaboration.As the Director of Business Analysis, you will act as a critical finance partner to Operations and Procurement teams. You will be responsible for designing and delivering scenario analyses, tracking models, and financial reports that inform executive decisions and drive measurable results.Responsibilities of the Director of Business Analysis will include:
- Serve as the primary financial liaison for Operations & Procurement, influencing strategic decisions
- Build and maintain models that track cost-saving initiatives, measure ROI, and monitor financial impact
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on operational efficiency and cost-reduction
- Identify and implement data-driven strategies to improve productivity and profitability
- Develop advanced financial models and dashboards for reporting key performance metrics
- Manage monthly close processes, including detailed cost and variance analysis
- Prepare financial reporting packages for senior leadership and the board
- Collaborate with internal teams to take corrective action and refine financial tracking systems
- Support M&A and capital markets activities when required
- Enhance forecasting tools for both P&L and cash flow to drive long-term financial planning
Job RequirementsQualifications of the Director of Business Analysis:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with VBA/Macros
- Experience with tools such as TM1, PowerBI, Elixir, or MAPS
- MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proven success in process improvement initiatives
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging data for strategic decision-making
