Business Data Director

Job Duck is a virtual staffing company that matches candidates to work from home for a single U.S.-based business, in most cases a law firm.

The Director of Business Data Department will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data management, analytics, and strategy to drive business growth and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record of leveraging data to inform decision-making and achieve organizational objectives. 

Monthly Compensation: 3,500 USD

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. 

• Lead a team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals to ensure the accurate collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.  

• Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions to address them. 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize business processes and enhance data quality and usability.  

• Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics. 

• Communicate key insights and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders through reports, presentations, and dashboards. 

• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and innovation within the organization.  

• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance metrics to achieve departmental and organizational goals. 

• Develop and mentor team members to support their professional growth and career advancement.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.  

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a data-driven organization, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.  

• Strong technical expertise in data management, analytics, and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, etc.  

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing data strategies that drive business growth and operational efficiency.  

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.  

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights and initiatives.  

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  

• Knowledge of staffing industry concepts, trends, and practices is a plus.
