Role: Business Development DirectorLocation: Bristol or London basedHybrid: YesWe’re building a team of passionate Sales and Business Development professionals! Currently recruiting for Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Manager (BDM), and a Business Development Director (BDD).As Business Development Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth across the business. You will lead our the team, which will include new hires such as Business Development Manager (BDM) and a Sales Development Representative (SDR), and ensure they are motivated and equipped to deliver outstanding results.You will also work closely with our marketing team to create and execute campaigns that generate awareness, drive engagement, and feed high-quality leads into the pipeline. From outbound strategies to closing deals, you will ensure we are positioned as the go-to partner for transformative experience design and strategy.This role requires a proven business development leader who thrives in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving ambitious growth goals.RequirementsWhat you’ll be doing

  • Lead and inspire the new business team, ensuring alignment with growth strategy and providing coaching and development to drive success
  • Report directly to the Commercial Director, regularly updating progress, performance, and opportunities
  • Own and manage high-value sales opportunities from identification to closing, ensuring a seamless process and exceptional client experience
  • Create tailored, high-quality proposals that articulate the value of our services and address client needs
  • Lead and deliver compelling pitch presentations
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create integrated campaigns that raise awareness, generate leads, and build market presence
  • Shape and execute proactive outbound prospecting strategies to identify and engage key target clients
  • Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Build trusted relationships with prospective clients, understanding their challenges and aligning solutions to meet their needs
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, identifying areas for differentiation and innovation.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth handovers to delivery teams and fostering strong, long-term relationships

  • Expertise in leading and closing high-value sales opportunities, with experience in solution-based selling
  • Exceptional ability to craft high-impact proposals and deliver persuasive pitches that secure new business
  • A collaborative approach, working seamlessly with marketing teams to deliver effective lead-generation strategies
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels
  • Commercially astute, with a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to align solutions that deliver measurable outcomes
  • A strategic thinker, able to identify growth opportunities while managing the day-to-day operations of the business development team
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A skilled and engaging presenter, capable of articulating complex ideas compellingly and persuasively
