We are the 9th biggest FMCG company and 3rd fastest growing (source Kantar) in the UK, The hard-working UK Sales Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing.The Team coordinates the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse and Discounters.Despite being mature accounts for pladis, Tesco and Morrisons are both delivering significant growth on Cake and are a key focal point for pladis now and in the future. This is an exciting hands-on role within a fast-paced team which will provide great experience working with some of the nations favourite brands!What will be your key deliverables?As Business Development Manager, you will support the delivery of our daring strategic growth plans – specifically:

  • Full P&L responsibility for Cake within Tesco & Morrisons (£20M NSV)
  • Full end to end Account Management of the Cake business within Tesco & Morrisons
  • Land NRM and CPI targets
  • Constant customer interaction and relationship building
  • Development of a wide and deep external contact matrix
  • Creating and implementing business plans – including prioritisation, forecast review and course correcting to overachieve Budget
  • Working cross functionally with NRM, Shopper Marketing, Demand Planners and MDC
  • Deliver Net Sales, TGC and NS per Tonne budget targets
  • Weekly sales forecast management & accuracy
  • Leading contact with Demand Planning (leading internal demand reviews)
  • Looking for opportunities for incremental activation and promotions
  • Manage the promotional proposal and authorisation process

What will the interview process be?

  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
