As the Business Executive at Sage Canada, your primary focus will be driving new business revenue growth in fiscal year 2025 while overseeing the scaling and hiring of a rapidly growing business.Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as the key liaison between the Canadian Leadership team and the wider commercial business. Your role will involve communicating priorities, monitoring progress on strategic goals, and representing the MD’s perspective when necessary.In this strategic role, you will play a critical role in driving new business revenue growth for Sage Canada in the upcoming fiscal year. Your expertise in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, project management, and scaling operations will be pivotal in leading the organization toward its growth objectives.Your ability to synthesize information, drive business outcomes, and manage scaling efforts will be essential to the company’s success.Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with the MD, Canadian Leadership team, sales teams, and the wider commercial business to communicate priorities and oversee progress on strategic goals.
- Drive the development and execution of strategies to achieve new business revenue growth in FY25.
- Manage the scaling and hiring efforts to support the rapid expansion of the business.
- Prepare decks and join the MD in relevant meetings to ensure outcomes are documented, accountabilities are clear, and actions are delivered on time.
- Serve as a liaison between the MD, the Leadership team, and the business, effectively communicating priorities to the leadership team.
- Proactively gather data and provide reporting to enable the MD to prepare effectively for meetings and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with the RTR team on GTM plans and monitoring progress to budget.
- Work with the EA to prioritize the MDs weekly calendar meetings and ensure that all activities are aligned to an OKR
- Work closely with the MD’s direct reports to prioritize key issues and resolve minor matters efficiently without disrupting business operations.
- Act as a delegate for the MD, collaborating with direct reports on specific projects and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality.
- Compile content and draft papers/materials for executive team meetings, and leadership meetings.
- Identify opportunities for Services improvement, facilitating successful implementation of new programs through well-defined, efficient launch processes.
- Collaborate with the Change Management team to build the organization’s understanding of proposed changes and effectively implement new deployment and job models.
- Define optimal performance measurements and management programs in collaboration with leadership to ensure the success of the sales organization. Align reporting, training, and incentive programs with these priorities.
- Provide essential reports and internal intelligence to the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Executive Meeting Preparation & Presentation: Proven experience in preparing for and presenting in executive meetings, including the ability to deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations to senior leadership.
- Financial Data Analysis: Strong ability to compile, analyze, and present financial data, providing actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Market & Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Demonstrated experience in analyzing market trends, developing GTM strategies, and aligning them with organizational goals to drive growth and competitive advantage.
- 5years of experience in go-to-market functions or operations environments.
- Degree in Business Management or Finance preferred.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, understanding business drivers, P&L dynamics, and decision-making priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at the functional leadership team level.
- Proficiency in analyzing and structuring information. Ability to independently manage large volumes of data, conduct quality checks, synthesize insights, and communicate top-down, C-level perspectives.
- Track record of managing high-visibility projects and consistently delivering exceptional performance.
- Experience in scaling and hiring within a rapidly growing business context.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and operate in a fast-paced environment.
