Your CV will still need to be attached but it will not be seen by a hiring manager until the selection process has been completed.We receive a lot of applications to our early careers programmes at Siemens and so we may close the advert early, please make sure you apply as soon as you can!What would my working day be like?You are encouraged to be in the office most of the time, as we believe this dynamic environment is the best place to learn, network and have fun whilst being an early careers professional.This internship will focus on IT service and improvement topics, supporting the team to determine, develop and deploy new IT initiatives whilst engaging & educating employees at all levels of the organisation and providing ongoing support for IT equipment. You will have the opportunity to work with data, helping to extract, shape and analyse it to help support business decisions, as well as exploring AI to unlock further data opportunities. You will also be working closely with business development to help manage online sales leads and customer requests for information. By the end of it, you will be set up with strong business knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in IT.Your role will include:
- IT Support and Development: Collaborate with employees to resolve technical issues, act as an IT ambassador for the business, and assist with programming tasks, data and AI projects to enhance operations and achieve business goals.
- Business and Market Analysis: Analyse business processes, research IT improvements, propose new hardware and software solutions, and conduct industry market analysis to support strategy and business development.
- Employee Engagement and Lead Management: Inspire employee engagement and continuous improvement through workshops and presentations and manage the online sales leads distribution process within the business.
- Customer and Strategic Support: Respond to customer Request For Information and questionnaires, maintain a repository of customer requests and responses, and support various business or sales teams on short or medium-term projects to align with Siemens’ strategy.
What do I need to apply?
- Working towards a degree in an IT or related discipline such as Information Technology with Business, Computing, Computer Science, Cyber Security.
- Have some experience within a customer-facing role, ideally within the IT or technology sector.
- You think logically, are willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem-solving.
- You can work independently, safely, and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.
