We are looking for a dynamic and strategic School Business Manager to join our team in Blackburn. This role involves overseeing the school’s operational and financial management to ensure smooth and efficient running of the school.Why choose us?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the school’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Oversee the management of school facilities and resources.
  • Lead on HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, and staff training.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement policies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and commitment to student welfare.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
