A unique role in the team working across schools, trade and consumer channels. You’ll work with market-leading brands, including Collins Revision, Collins Dictionaries and Collins Atlases, creating campaigns reaching teachers at primary and secondary schools as well as parents and secondary students. You’ll create innovative campaigns, with a focus on digital channels, that meet revenue, evaluation and dues targets and help us grow our presence in these key growth areas.

Key tasks and accountabilities:

  • Work with the Marketing Directors for schools and trade to develop, write and implement marketing plans on time and to budget

  • Produce marketing campaigns that deliver ideas with accuracy and flair, with relevant messages and appropriate use of design

  • Show leadership driving digital campaigns that make full use of online marketing opportunities, including briefing web pages, copy writing, creating video and graphics for social media channels and designing emails

  • Utlilise all digital platforms and channels including TikTok, YouTube and Amazon to produce innovative campaigns that set us apart from the competition

  • Manage Amazon marketing activity to ensure products are visible on the platform and to maximise sales, including AMS, A+ page content, vine reviews, store up-dates and marketing packages

  • Stay up-to-date with innovations in digital channels so your campaigns are taking advantage of new opportunities and research competitor activity to ensure Collins is prominent in the target markets

  • Work effectively with freelance marketers, designers, mailing houses, influencers and other marketing service providers, giving clear briefs and guidance to ensure that quality work is delivered to schedule and budget

  • Measure and report upon campaign performance

  • Support the sales teams with ongoing lead generation, effective materials and sales initiatives as required

  • Contribute to the overall management of the budget in conjunction with the Marketing Directors

  • Plan, organise and attend events and exhibitions as agreed and in line with strategic aims of the division

Experience required:

  • An interest in education publishing and marketing

  • Proven success in using a range of digital marketing channels successfully

  • Experience of design systems preferable – e.g. Canva/Photoshop/Adobe

  • Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload and juggle tasks

  • A clear, accurate writing style and the ability to produce fluent and persuasive copy

  • Able to use initiative to develop new ideas and solve problems

  • A proactive and can-do attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • A team player with excellent communication and people skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

    Benefits

  • Hybrid working model (3 days in the office)

  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (option to buy and sell holiday days)

  • Enhanced pay for maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave

  • Private healthcare cover and life assurance
